Teaching style
Vinyasa Flow Yoga is a dynamic, creative, flowing and energetic form of yoga. In the vinyasa practice, we synchronise the movement and the breath so it becomes one flowing action where its unity encourages this synchronisation. Vinyasa is Sanskrit and broken down to its roots means, to place (nyasa) in a special way (vi). In the Vinyasa Flow Yoga practice, we flow towards a “peak pose” and the sequencing of the postures prepares the body, mind and breath in gradual stages for this destination.
Even though Vinyasa Flow yoga is a flowing and physically an energetic form of yoga practice it is still healing and therapeutic in how it’s integrating the body, mind, breath and spirit through its esoteric work in the subtle body and the intention set by the individual practitioner. The healing energy comes from the intention, discipline, breath, the love for the practice and the understanding of its divine impact and purpose of the individual student.
Kriya is an ancient teaching. Kriya means action or effort. It’s a set of postures, breathwork, mantras and meditation with a specific intention or focus. Among its benefits are physical strength, increased energy, emotional balancing and strengthening of the nervous system.
