TESTOMONIALS;

I attended the Yoga-Healing-Awakening retreat for the autumn equinox at the end of sept 2023 and wow, what a week.
The Villa was set in a beautiful location in Spain and on entering the villa there was an amazing sense of calm there. The yoga deck where we had our mornings and evening sessions was just beautiful, draped in billowing white decorative curtains with a view of the mountain surrounding us. The food was amazing and I slept amazingly.
The most special part of the week was practicing yoga with Camilla and Jackie.
They are such wonderful teachers. They offer the perfect mix of morning Kriyas with focused breath work and cleansing our systems & working with vinyasa flow in the evenings. All sessions were a mix of grounding, energising, meditation & singing mantras! Leaving me energised, engaged and ready for breakfast or dinner!
All of the sessions came with clear instructions, introducing the group to some new elements in yoga practice (like breath of fire). Encouraging us to work at our own level and not worry about what each other are doing. Every session was peppered with a few gentle corrections on form to help us get the most out of what we we’re doing. And if lucky, a little reiki to help remove our blockages! Though no amount of reiki will help me with frog pose
For me correcting my back positioning and my turned out feet has had a significant impact on my practice going forward as I feel those little corrections still and I’m able to reset.
There was love, support and compassion in every day spent together. Along with great conversation about the stars, the moon, and everything underneath!
If you need some time to rest, relax and recharge your physical and spiritual batteries I highly recommend spending a week with these very special ladies.

The week at yoga retreat with Camilla and Jackie was my first proper encounter with yoga. I came there with open heart, mind and no expectations, and I think now that was one of the best decisions in my life.
Camilla and Jackie created this magical space where everyone felt at home.
They are like conductors who turned a group of strangers into an orchestra. By their extraordinary human spirit, love, sense of beauty and wisdom. We laughed together, we cried, we chatted, we were silent. I’ve never felt so alive like there on the mat with Camilla and Jackie. They were so in tune with each other, with each of us, with life and nature. Thank you for magical sunrises and sunsets, Camilla and Jackie. That was a life changing experience for me and I can’t be more grateful.

The profound effect your retreat has had on my mind and body is ongoing. I hear the words of Jackie regularly ” pay attention to your back” and I do! Cami introduced me to the wonderful
world of Kriya of which I had never experienced. I incorporate this into my now regular 30 minute morning practice. This is something I have never done on a daily basis ( I was very much a once or twice weekly kind of yogi ) this is now part of my day. I cannot imagine being without it. I feel having such a lot to contend with lately that your teachings and retreat has given me the tools to cope. I am so grateful for this.
The location chosen was stunning, the sunshine was a tonic and your different but complimentary teaching styles were outstanding. You both put so much effort and compassion into everything. I now light a palo santo stick each morning and night, it reminds me of the place and the 6 days. A glorious 6 days and I worried about the financial implications of this. I am not a person who can share a room with anyone – except my daughter if she had come – but honestly I had an even better experience coming on my own. Thanks to Jackie for encouraging me to do this. It was life-changing – my very first yoga retreat. The first of many I plan to do as I will do everything possible to make it a regular experience. Many of my friends have commented how happy and glowing I looked whilst there, and it is true. It was a fun week but it was also challenging and at times hard. In return I got so much from it and a new group of friends with common ground – to remain grounded.

I wasn’t sure what to expect going to Javea as I had been working under pressure and not been doing yoga at all for some weeks. I trusted my instincts and booked the retreat and hoped that I would not struggle with the asanas,
I need not have been concerned. Camilla began our practice with kriyas unfamiliar to me, but incredible for releasing stress from muscles and bringing  through more prana. The setting was perfect with mountain support behind the roof terrace and a green vista spreading out ahead towards the hills. The roof top terrace was ideally suited to the practice of yoga. It was private from, other villas, but open to the sky with sufficient shade to protect from the late September sunshine.
The asanas were supported by the most gentle adjustments from Jackie to bring greater awareness to areas that were not in alignment. This was nurturing and non-invasive. Camilla took the first two classes; Saturday evening and Sunday morning then Jackie took the next class. This was more physical and Camilla provided the adjustment support with gentleness. The classes were thoroughly enjoyable and not challenging as feats of endurance, but did provide opportunity to develop into asanas and improve.
Other than the classes there was abundant fresh food, vegetarian and vegan options. There were other activities, like visiting a local market, walks to see stars at night, or visit an ancient tree in a vineyard. The pace was relaxed, but never boring. There were options to have treatments, which I made the most of. This afforded greater levels of relaxation. Overall the experience was exactly what I needed and thoroughly enjoyed.
